针灸问与答
What kinds of diseases can Acupuncture treat?
Any health problem, disease or illness may be treated by acupuncture. The World Health Organization (WHO) has determined that acupuncture can effectively treat around 100 different types of illnesses. Also, it is an excellent way for improving general health.
Is Acupuncture safe or painful?
In the past 4000 years, there's no fact that has proved acupuncture has done any damage to any patient. Yes, I think it's very safe. We use small needles that are not much wider than a thick hair. They are sharpened like a pencil, so they can penetrate the skin without tearing the tissue like a bevel-cut hypodermic needle. The result is a little more than a "pinch".
How is the Acupuncture treatment like?
The first acupuncture treatment takes about 1 & 1/2 hour which includes a complete Chinese medical diagnosis and an acupuncture treatment. Thereafter, the average treatment usually takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour, most patients experienced a total relaxation and most fell asleep during the treatment. For those patients who have a very busy schedule, keep in mind that a minimum of 30 to 45 minutes is required to complete a treatment in order to see effective results.
